IKONA Foundation, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) private operating foundation established in 2009 as a Virginia not-for-profit corporation. It has a broad charter to engage in charitable, educational and religious activities involving Ukraine in order to encourage a moral society based on Christian values, strengthen civic and democratic institutions, and alleviate suffering and poverty. The Foundation has been funded by a family endowment, and has neither paid nor intends to pay any compensation to any members of the family or anyone affiliated with them. The Foundation seeks out projects that are self-sustaining, has far-reaching implications, and show potential for "leveraging" small investments of capital to produce large results.
