SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA STREETS INITIATIVE

Homepage - Streetsblog Los Angeles

The Los Angeles vanguard of the Streetsblog publishing empire. Los Angeles Streetsblog is the top place online for news and views about the quest for equitable and sustainable transportation options in Los Angeles. California Streets Initiative is a non-profit organization practicing “Solutions Journalism” to educate and inform activists, decision makers, and the general public. We point out where our current system of transportation and urban planning perpetuates racism, divides communities, poisons people, contributes to climate change, blocks open space, and displaces communities. We also focus on who is working to solve these issues, what challenges they face, and what solutions they propose. By changing thinking about transportation, we can make communities stronger, safer, cleaner, and more diverse places to live, work, and play.
