Formerly known as Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan. Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (CW4WAfghan), an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO (consultative status), is a federally registered Canadian charity founded in 1998 to advance education and educational opportunities for Afghan women and their families. CW4WAfghan works in partnership with Afghan women, and engages Canadians to improve conditions of human rights, end women's oppression, and provide opportunities for Afghan women to live their lives with dignity, certainty, and purpose. CW4WAfghan is based in Calgary, Canada, and Kabul, Afghanistan, serving women, girls, and their families throughout Afghanistan and those displaced by conflict.
