GIVING CIRCLE HIGHLIGHT SERIES | Week 3 ✨ Angel of Edgewood ✨ At our third Giving Circle session, we were honored to spotlight the incredible work of Angel of Edgewood, Inc. , led by the powerhouse advocate Jendayi Scott-Miller. Jendayi shared how Giving Circle funds will help Angel of Edgewood: 🟡 Expand their Mobile Community Café to reach more families 🟡 Deliver trauma-informed, culturally relevant food across Greater Hartford 🟡 Provide consistent, compassionate support to immigrant women and children navigating crisis Earlier this month, we gathered with Jendayi, Giving Circle members, and Aurora Board members for a joyful big check celebration—honoring the $10,000 Giving Circle grant.

Women Lead Wednesday This Wednesday, we’re highlighting the powerful leadership of the Young Women’s Initiative (YWI) participants at YWCA New Britain House of Teens. 💪🏾 As part of their work in YWI, these young leaders awarded grant funding to The Village for Families & Children to support the launch of a peer mediation program at New Britain High School. They worked side by side with Village staff to thoughtfully design the program from planning peer and staff trainings to promoting a restorative, inclusive school culture.
