The oldest operating press club in North America, and possibly the world. The Milwaukee Press Club provides professional development and camaraderie to members of the press. The MPC Endowment was established in 1973 to promote the advancement of journalism excellence – from learning how to gather and write news in high school, to creating and presenting information in college newspapers and websites, to awarding achievement at the professional level. The endowment carries out its mission by funding scholarships for college students, funding journalism-related education programs at the high school and college level, and supporting educational and career-development activities of the Milwaukee Press Club.
