Trying to fit all of your planned activities into an event can be a super stresser! Just because you planned an activity doesn't mean you have to do it! Planning plenty of activities for an event is always wise, but trying to fit them all in is not. The key is to watch your children. Are they having fun, or are they getting bored? If the children are having fun, let them continue with the activity they are doing. As soon as they start getting bored with the activity, switch it up! Let your children be your guide! Always do your main activities first...so the children aren't disappointed. Save the smaller activities for last. If you don't get all the planned activities done, simply save them. They will are perfect time-fillers for those times when you need them most. Or, you can always use them for future events. (fb)

A new twist to an old favorite...Face Painting! Instead of the traditional face painting try giving the children brushes and letting them paint each others faces. You may choose to allow them to paint with their hands...or even better, allow them to paint with their mouth! All you need is some face paint, small paint brushes (new), paper plates for the paint, and some plastic hair covers. You can purchase these from any hair supply store. A parent parent purchased a box of these for us and they lasted a long time. I used them for any messy activity that we hosted. Allow the children to choose or refuse if they want to wear one. Provide goggles or safety glasses if you choose. A great devotion/lesson would be anything to do with the mouth...or the wicked tongue. Here's a few for you to consider!
