Back in the Saddle Horse Adoption, Inc ("BITS") is an all volunteer 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping horses in need and horses destined for slaughter. We regularly travel to auctions, do private rescues and accept donations of horses and ponies of any breed from any part of the United States. Each horse or pony is rehabilitated and then is evaluated for soundness, temperament and riding suitability before being placed in a carefully screened adoptive home. Horses are adopted under contract to protect them for life.
