Acadiana Way

To promote, advocate and preserve the culture, heritage and traditions of organization members and the public in pursuit of a continuation and/or cultivation of Acadiana traditional, cultural and rural lifestyles exclusively through charitable, religious, literary and/or educational means. 1. The primary objective and goal of the Organization is to promote, advocate, and preserve the culture, heritage and traditions of organization members and the public in pursuit of a continuation and/or cultivation of Acadiana tradition, culture and rural lifestyles within and outside the geographical area of Acadiana which is defined as the 22 parish area known also as the French Louisiana region. ( Officially recognized by the Louisiana State Legislature by House Concurrent Resolution No. 496, June 6, 1971). 2. Promote economic development, trade, and commerce for Acadiana traditional, cultural and rural development. 3. Advocate unity and support the rights and privileges of all Organization members who pursue Acadiana traditional, cultural and rural activities. 4. Support the aboriginal, treaty and individual rights of Organization members who pursue Acadiana traditional, cultural and rural lifestyles.
