There are so many cats and kittens in need everywhere right now. For those of us who are trying to help where we can, it's excruciating to have to say no. This week, we were able to help this cat who was identified as a stray that had been attacked by a dog. The person trying to get help for him, was unable to afford care, but was trying to care for the cat. We sent Rocky to our vet where it was discovered it was not a dog attack but he had been shot in the face. The vet was able to get several pellets out of the face, clean him up, start him on antibiotics and neuter him. The caretaker believes it was a group of kids since they were seen with a pellet rifle pointing it at cats. So sad that this kitty had to suffer because some kids think cruelty is fun. This was in Sharpsburg, and we will be reporting it. Send this sweet guy some prayers and good thoughts. He didn't deserve this. Please step when you see cruelty and unkindness. Cats are frequent targets, and they need everybody's help! (fb)
