POLAR PUG RESCUE & FRIENDS

Polar Pug Rescue & Friends is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit operating in the State of Alaska. We are a rescue group for dogs, dealing primarily with the Pug breed, and as our resources allow, we will provide rescue service to other small breed dogs. We will take dogs through direct owner surrender or from our local dog shelter. We will not judge or intimidate any owner wishing to surrender their pet. It is our ultimate goal to place each dog into a life-long home. Potential homes will be screened through our interview, application, and home visit process. We will strive to place each individual dog into the best home that is suited for them and the owners'. We will guide each applicant throughout the adoption process and be an advocate for each dog. We will educate the community about responsible and loving pet ownershiwe will provide: v A loving foster home. v Individual evaluation for behavioral, emotional, and physical needs. v Adequate time for rehabilitation and proper evaluation before adoption placement. v Complete veterinary care, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and addressing any specific medical needs. Each dog will be micro-chipped. Funds received through donation, grant, fundraising, and adoption fees will be used only for the dogs in our care. We will use these funds to provide food, medical care, and any other specific needs for each dog. Administrative costs will include telephone, printing of educational materials, shelter fees, insurance, and any legal or professional fees that may be necessary. None of the officers, board members or volunteers will be compensated in any way.
