Center for Lawful Access and Abuse Deterrence

CLAAD's mission is to coordinate a comprehensive national effort to reduce prescription drug fraud, diversion, misuse, and abuse while advancing consumer access to high quality care. CLAAD enabled health professionals, law enforcement, businesses, government and others to share resources and work together to improve public health and safety. We work to foster collaboration among the multiple sectors of society to address the growing national concern of prescription medication and heroin abuse. CLAAD gathers information and research on prescription drug abuse, misuse, and diversion. We also coordinate grassroots activities amongst interested organizations and make policy recommendations on prescription drug abuse with goal of improving public health.
