For AAPI Heritage Month, SFF’s staff-led AAPI Affinity Group joined National Japanese American Historical Society (NJAHS) for a walking tour of SF’s Japantown. Our group learned about the storied history of Japantown, the impact of the 1906 earthquake, WWII and internment camps, and the many programs, art installations, and activities that are continued today. One of the most notable changes over time has been the size of Japantown.
