oldnorthstate Old North State Brass Who we are. The members of this brass ensemble are all Trianglearea musicians who perform with the areas concert bands orchestras and big bands. All are adults some retired and some still in the middle their careers in a variety of professions who have a passion for making music and wanted to experience doing so in a smaller more collaborative group. History The ensemble began meeting regularly in January of 2009 and they have quickly developed a repertoire of music that encompasses classical jazz sacred and popular styles.
