Through provision of broadband internet to rural areas and also provision of culture and language education between mainland China and the US, Bridge The Divide seeks to provide high schools and colleges with recent graduates (non-legacy, "street credible") to teach Mandarin Chinese and Chinese customs to US students and Conversational English and US customs to Chinese translator students.

By providing highspeed broadband access and free computing equipment to schools the Foundation aims to bridge the digital gap that separates children in rural and lowincome schools from affluent students. Recognizing that students must leverage the information revolution in order to be prepared to succeed in twentyfirst century society the federal government has created programs to put technology in the hands of all students. The Foundation will participate in one such program under which the Federal Communications Commission grants Educational Broadband Service licenses EBS licenses to nonprofit organizations that offer educational assistance to schools.
