The mission of Massachusetts State Association of the Deaf (MSAD) is to advocate for the rights of, and serve the needs of Deaf individuals in Massachusetts. Objectives: - To advocate for and safeguard the rights of Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and late-deafened individuals - To protect and preserve Deaf culture and American Sign Language (ASL) - To advance the economic, civic, social welfare of Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and late-deafened individuals - To identify and reduce all communication barriers - To promote fully equal and accessible education for deaf individuals.
