Blood donors save lives! Every day people like you make a difference in Greater Cincinnati by sharing your good health. One blood donation can save up to three lives, and an hour of your time could give someone a lifetime. 10am-4pm on Thu 5 Jun, the Hoxworth Blood Center is hosting a blood drive in front of The BonBonerie at 2030 Madison Rd. in O’Bryonville! Two Hoxworth donor buses will be parked in front of the bakery. Every donor receives a $10 gift card and a “sweet treat” from The Bonbonerie! 😋 When you come to donate at a Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center or mobile blood drive, you will first register and sign in with one of our staff members. All donors must have a photo ID and current address to register. After signing in, you’ll receive a tablet to fill out your donor questionnaire. Save time by downloading Hoxworth’s free mobile app and fill out the questionnaire anytime on the day of your donation before coming to your appointment. The East Walnut Hills Farmers Market opens for the season on Fri 30 May! It will take place every Friday, 4-7pm, in the southeast corner of the Madison Rd. parking lot, in the heart of our business district. We’re excited to welcome new vendor Power Up Bagels, the only dedicated gluten-free vegan scratch kitchen in Cincinnati! PUB offers up artisanal gluten-free vegan bagels made by owner James, a chef with over 20 years of cooking experience! Expect classics like everything bagels and seasonal flavors such as lemon poppyseed, along with cultured cashew cream cheeze spreads. A customer recently said, “If you haven’t tried these bagels, you are missing out!!” Our farmers’ market is a volunteer-driven initiative that debuted in 2022 to create a sense of community and camaraderie by connecting people through food. Beginning on Fri 30 May, shop from multiple vendors every week, who will be selling fresh produce, baked goods, coffee, and more.
