Conquering Mountains, One Step at a Time… In the hilly terrain of Kambare village, Pune where her family toils endlessly on the farm, Shristava, a Class 3 student at Zila Parishad Primary School, faced obstacles far beyond the classroom: 🔴A grueling 2-kilometer walk to school every day, often making her late. 🔴 Missed lessons left her struggling to keep up, slowly chipping away at her motivation. 💡 A Flicker of Hope The Vibha-supported “Enhancing the Learning Abilities of Rural School Children” project by Rachana Society For Social Reconstruction with Sikshana Foundation came to her rescue. It aims to improve learning outcomes for students and fosters parent & community engagement in education through: ✨Turning learning into a fun & rewarding experience 🤝 Encouraging peer learning & student clubs 📊 Tracking progress for real, lasting impact!  🎯Training teachers & communities to sustain change Concerned about her struggles, the staff devised a plan to motivate her: ⌚Introduced a simple but powerful goal: attend school punctually and earn a green star. ⌚Involved Shristava’s elder brother, a student at the secondary school, to bring her to school on his bicycle.  ⌚Understanding the importance of his sister’s education, her brother readily agreed.  For the first time, Shristava arrived on time. And then, the magic began… 🏆 Small Wins, Big Change ✅ Earned her first green star for regular attendance. Then another. A Front-Row Seat to Change through a Volunteer’s Eyes👁️ When Vibha volunteer Abhay Mangala visited the Alamb Skill Development Centre in Delhi, he stepped into a space where quiet change was unfolding.🤝 🙌🏼Amidst computers for coding, beauty kits for budding beauticians, and stitching kits, young learners were being given opportunities to build their futures with every lesson, and gaining the confidence to shape their own success. All thanks to the Vibha-supported skill development program with Alamb.😇 ✨Mausam, once a domestic worker, now runs her own tailoring business from home - turning every stitch into a step toward independence. ✨Neha found not just a new skill in the beautician program, but a new sense of purpose.
