Morse Society Reorganized 1973
The purpose of the Morse Society is to:a) Gather and organize and propagate genealogical, historical and personal information pertaining to North American MORSE and MOSS progenitors, their ancestors and their descendants, including those with variant spellings of the surname such as MORSS and MORS.b) Verify and/or confirm wherever possible all historical data and assist persons and institutions in their quest to learn about the surname history.c) Produce publications for the membership pertaining to the Morse surname.d) Be the archival center for all Morse genealogical material.e) Hold and encourage Conventions and State and Local Conferences for those interested in the history of the Morse surname.f) Educate the public and Society members in the methods and importance of sound genealogical research.g) Investigate and use various scientific methods available in the search for a Morse past.
