ONLINE CONFERENCE: "Creation Day & the Nicaea Centenary" A second international ecumenical conference on a proposed annual Feast of Creation will be held both online and in person in Assisi from May 5-7. The conference is being sponsored by the World Council of Churches and other international church bodies with academic leadership from the Laudato Si’ Research Institute of Oxford University. Against the backdrop next year’s 1700th anniversary of the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, the conference will seek to deepen the ecumenical dialogue and collaboration in celebration of the mystery of creation. The Hymn Society has provided some modest assistance to the organizers. Editor of The Hymn Carl Bear will be moderating the breakout discussion on curating, creating, and planning for congregational song and other forms of liturgical music for this proposed celebration.
