California Dance Institute is an in-school and after-school arts education program that uses dance to teach life and learning skills. CDI works to give students in Los Angeles public schools opportunities to experience the joys of art and exercise. The California Dance Institute (CDI) is an in-school and after-school arts education program that teaches life and learning skills through dance and music. CDI’s mission is to motivate children to develop a personal standard of excellence by promoting fitness, discipline and critical thinking through joyful, structured classes. CDI aims to help fill the enormous gap that exists in public schools throughout Los Angeles in Arts and Physical Education, while helping to develop the minds and bodies of young people in an integrated way that is unique to dance in general, and to the CDI methodology in particular.
