The Athenaeum of Philadelphia provides programs, library services, exhibits, and life-long learning opportunities to its members, community, and scholars throughout the world while stewarding its National Historic Landmark building and its collections of books, architectural drawings, photographs and historic objects. The Athenaeum is a not-for-profit library and architectural archives founded in 1814. The Athenaeum is open to the public without charge.
