The association aims to promote research on Central Asia from antiquity to modern times through sponsoring events publications filmmaking and educational trips to the region. ACANSRS takes a multidisciplinary approach to the study of Central Asia and the Silk Road. Fields of interest include history linguistics philology archaeology anthropology sociology musicology art and cultural studies.
