W2W partners 10th grade students of differing racial, religious and/or socio-economic status. We bring together students who would be unlikely to meet each other, much less establish friendships, in a cooperative writing project. Learning about each other puts a face on an unknown (and often on stereotypes) and builds bridges across common social divides.
