Walla Walla County 4-H program assists youth in developing life skills and abilities to become positive, self-directing, contributing members of our society. These critical life-skills include positive self-esteem, effective communication, critical thinking skills, problem solving, decision making, caring, responsibility and a strong sense of belonging. These life skills give young people the tools necessary to succeed in adulthood. The 4-H mission is not reached through any one activity or event, but rather through many delivery methods that relate to the total concept of youth development. These methods include: leadership, public presentations, judging events, record keeping, club work, mastery of skills though project work, cross cultural experiences, and special interest programs.
