Welcome to the Syracuse Poster Project, where we bring together poets and artists to create an annual series of illustrated poetry posters for Syracuse. We invite you to support us by buying poster products or joining our team of poets and artists. To provide aspiring poets and illustrators an opportunity to have their work published, and to strengthen our community through shared experience.

Poster Image Poster Spotlight In Hanover Square In Hanover Squareopen mics opened the waybrotherhood and prayer In Hanover Squareopen mics opened the waybrotherhood and prayer With February drawing to a close and March very near on the horizon we wanted to celebrate Black History Month with this poster designed by Antonio Winters and Randi Moody in 2004. The poster originated from an experience Antonio had as one of the first Black poets to perform at a particular Syracuse spoken word venue. The space started off with a reputation for being unfriendly to nonwhite performers but once Antonio got involved he worked hard to make it into an inclusive and welcoming space for people of color.
