✨SHABBAT STUDENT SPOTLIGHT TIME!✨ This week, we are featuring Maya! Maya is a rising third year student from Bucks County, PA, studying nutritional sciences with a focus on sports nutrition. Maya began to get involved with Hillel because she was seeking a Jewish community at college. “Hillel offered the perfect opportunity to build meaningful connections and stay connected to my Jewish identity at Penn State.”  Currently, Maya serves as the treasurer for Challah for Hope, which is a micro community within Hillel that bakes challahs and donates the money raised directly to the State College Food Bank. Being a part of Challah for Hope is a core memory for Maya throughout her time as an undergrad. “I enjoy being on the exec board for challah for hope because it allows me to gain new leadership skills and create new memories while braiding challah with friends!” 📣Maya’s favorite Shabbat Memory: spending time with my friends while enjoying the best food!
