Today, we join with all who are mourning the loss of Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were senselessly killed outside of the DC Capital Jewish Museum last night in a targeted attack. They were attending an event hosted by the AJC - American Jewish Committee in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month and focused on fostering healing and diplomacy. Several of our grantees were in attendance, including IsraAID. You can read their statement below. Our hearts are with the victims’ families and loved ones. We share in the deep pain and fear that many of our communities are feeling as we grapple with this act of antisemitic violence. By partnering with city leaders and local service providers, CAPS strengthens community violence intervention (CVI) efforts to save lives and foster true public safety.
