THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO FOSTER AN INTEREST IN THE IMPROVEMENT AND PROGRESS OF DANCE IN KENTUCKY SCHOOLS BY PROMOTING EXCELLENCE, SAFETY, AND RECOGNITION OF DANCE; A BETTER KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF THE SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL ADVANTAGES OF DANCE; AND GOOD RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN DANCE COACHES AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS. THESE GOALS ARE ACCOMPLISHED IN PART THROUGH THE SPONSORSHIP OF STATEWIDE SCHOOL DANCE TEAM COMPETITIONS AND ACTIVITIES.
