Our friends at myTEAM TRIUMPH - Wisconsin Chapter are hosting The TRIUMPH Mile to kick off the energy and excitement of Bellin Run Weekend in Green Bay. Since 1977, the Bellin Run has grown into one of the largest 10K races in the country, drawing thousands from all over the world – but the Friday before, the spotlight shines on our athletes with disabilities and the power of inclusion. It’s a free, inclusive one-mile event that gives every participant a finish line of their own. Our Captains (athletes with disabilities) and Angels (able-bodied athletes) complete the mile side by side—cheered on by the entire Green Bay community. Each participant receives a TRIUMPH Mile shirt and a finisher medal. The environment is truly electric, and it’s one of the most powerful celebrations of belonging you’ll ever experience. We would love to have you there—whether walking the mile or cheering at the finish—and we hope you’ll share this opportunity with your athletes, families, and community! It's absolutely free to participate, sign up here: https://bit.ly/4dl56Bp (fb)

Before inclusion had a name, Dennis Rasmussen lived it. In the 1960s, former Special Olympics Wisconsin athlete, Dennis became a beloved part of a Green Bay Little League team, forming a lifelong bond with a boy named Tom Anderson, a bond that would later inspire a book. Decades after their first connection, Tom walked into Dennis’s visitation and was struck by a room filled with lives Dennis had touched. That moment led him to write "Somebody Should Tell the Story", a tribute to Dennis’s legacy of inclusion, sportsmanship, and quiet impact. 📘 Read more on how one man’s spirit revolutionized change the meaning of inclusion: https://bit.ly/4j0D5Ag (fb)
