Higher Education Consortium for Special Education - HECSE Higher Education Consortium For Special Education Committed to Effective Professional Preparation at All Levels We have been the primary advocates for the interests of institutions of higher education with personnel preparation leadership preparation and research programs in special education since 1982. Our member institutions are major universities with national reputations for preparing teachers related service providers administrators teacher educators and researchers. Their faculty members are known for their excellence in teaching research and service in special education and related services.
