MIDATLANTIC FIBER ASSOCIATION INC
MidAtlantic Fiber Association (MAFA) is a non-profit organization focused on education, a biennial conference and communication among nearly 60 regional guilds. MAFA is a non-profit organization whose objectives are to promote education in the fiber arts and to MAFA represents and supports a community of fiber arts guilds in the greater Mid-Atlantic region. Although best known for its conference, the all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization also provides ongoing financial grants, fellowships and scholarships, to promote education, development and public outreach in the fiber arts. A cornerstone of MAFA is its biennial fiber arts conference. Unique in offering in-depth workshop experiences, the conference provides a nurturing environment within which attendees focus on developing and honing fiber skills under the direction of experienced fiber art instructors. Our newest initiative is MAFA Virtual, offering online learning opportunities throughout the year.
