Part of the Metro Library Network, Hiawatha Public Library serves residents of Hiawatha, Cedar Rapids The Friends of the Hiawatha Public Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to the support of our library. As a member of Friends, you will be making a contribution to the future of our Library and our community. Friends are people who: Care about our community Support and cooperate with the Library in developing, maintaining, and enhancing facilities, resources, and services for the public Understand and support the Vision and Mission of the Library Wish to stimulate the use of the Library’s facilities, resources, and services Assist with fundraising efforts, and encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests for the benefit of the Library Wish to focus public attention on the Library Will support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights
