Preparing for the holiday of Shavuot means seeking meaning and learning more from the Book of Ruth which is read during the holy day. TALI educators תל"י - מרכז לחינוך יהודי ישראלי פלורליסטי held a seminar on "Strangeness, Belonging and Kindness" for some 60 educators at Rishon Le'Zion's Yud Gimmel Comprehensive High School. Reviewing and discussing the Book of Ruth, Talmudic and midrashic texts, participants discussed values, identity and Jewish expressions of faith in the face of challenges during their in-depth study sessions.
