We are pleased to share that Maureen MacDonald, an internationally recognized scholar and longtime champion of student success, has been appointed McMaster University’s next provost. MacDonald, who has served as dean of the McMaster Faculty of Science for the past seven years, will begin a six-year term on July 1, 2025. “In every corner of our campus there are students, faculty and staff who are here because they believe in the power of education and research to enable people and societies to flourish, and I am looking forward to supporting them,” says MacDonald. “I find great joy in making connections — connections between people and with opportunities — and that possibility simply expands in this new role.” (fb)
