Entrepreneur Spotlight of the Month! Marthia Buford-Bell Owner of Living Made Easy www.lmewi.com Living Made Easy: A Decade of Compassionate Care Founded in 2015 by Marthia Buford-Bell, Living Made Easy (LME) is a Wisconsin-based care organization dedicated to restoring dignity, independence, and quality of life to individuals with specialized needs. What began as a single supportive living home has grown into a network of five licensed sites and thirteen supportive living locations, supported by a team of over 40 professionals. LME provides a full continuum of services including Adult Family Homes (AFH), Supportive Living Services (SLS), transportation, skilled nursing, personal care, and emergency placement services. The organization serves aging individuals, those with dementia, developmental or physical disabilities, AODA challenges, and mental health conditions—operating under the guiding motto: “We Will, We Promise…” A cornerstone of LME’s success is its robust commitment to training and development. Through state-certified CBRF training, staff receive ongoing instruction in areas such as medication administration, dementia care, dietary needs, fire safety, and crisis intervention. Beyond the required training, LME goes above and beyond by offering weekly development sessions on a variety of topics to ensure continued learning and excellence across the company. This unwavering commitment to training reflects LME’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care, including mental health awareness and burnout strategies. Marthia’s leadership has not gone unnoticed. In 2023, she received the SBA Wisconsin District Director Award, highlighting her tireless work and impact on underserved populations. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, LME continues to expand through initiatives like LME Transportation, offering wheelchair-accessible non-emergency medical transport across Southeast Wisconsin. With eyes on the future, the organization remains committed to evolving with the needs of the community—delivering care with compassion, excellence, and a promise to serve. (fb)
