Our second of two back-to-back Israel volunteer trips for summer 2025 staff members began on Wednesday. We awoke Thursday morning to the awful news from Washington, DC and we condemn this terrible act of antisemitic, anti-Israel violence. May the memories of Sarah and Yaron be for a blessing. So far, our volunteering has taken us to a vineyard in Moshav Gimzu and back to ShiShnitzel in Nir Galim, where today’s schnitzel making was dedicated to the memory of Liron Snir (z’l). We also gathered at the Shalom Hartman Institute מכון שלום הרטמן to discuss different notions of Jewish identity and our visions for the Israel we dream of. We are looking forward to a peaceful Shabbat in Jerusalem. (fb)
