Last month, the Spirit Team at Flaget Memorial Hospital partnered with the Humane Society of Nelson County to bring two adoptable (and adorable) shelter dogs for a special visit at the facility on National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. Caregivers, visitors and patients alike enjoyed some fuzzy cuddles with Bandit and Sissy in the Serenity Garden on campus, learning more about adopting these sweet pups and other animals from the shelter. With their wagging tails and happy barks, it seemed like Bandit and Sissy had a great day too! It was a wonderful reminder of the joy a pet can bring to us and the humankindness we can share with them. (fb)
