Westside Community & Youth Orchestra
The Westside Community & Youth Orchestra (WCYO) strives to provide high-quality performances for the community, while cultivating the artistic growth and excellence of both youth and adult members through enriching orchestral experiences and mentoring by WCYO musicians. Rehearsals are held in the late afternoon to accommodate the schedules of student players. The orchestra presents two free concert programs per year to local audiences, one in the fall with a local school choir, and another in the spring. The orchestra performs each concert in two different venues, for a total of four free concerts. WCYO offers music learning scholarships to students who apply and qualify, subsidizing lessons, instruments, and supplies.
