Home - 836M PERFORMANCE DEAFWOKE URBAN JAZZ DANCE COMPANY March 3 May 17 Opening March 13 UJDCs residency program at 836MDeafWoke Communication in Conversationwill center on communication and conversation celebrating meaningful dialogue between Deaf and hearing communities through accessible and immersive discussions. The project explores how different artistic mediumsdance painting sculpture and musiccan foster communication build bridges and transcend traditional barriers. At the heart of the residency isDeafWoke Communication in Conversation an extension of Antoine Hunters acclaimed livestream showDeafWoke which has sparked global dialogue between Deaf and hearing artists. These interviews will take place in person for the first time offering an intimate opportunity to share stories and experiences while showcasing artists workpaintings sculptures music and literaturethat communicate Deaf culture accessibility and shared challenges.
