For over four decades, POISE Foundation has been at the forefront of philanthropy in Black communities. Founded in 1980 as the first Community Foundation created and managed by Black people in the United States, we've grown to become a national leader in philanthropic giving. Our mission remains unchanged: POISE amplifies the power of Black communities to fuel transformative change and uplift pathways to self-determination and shared success. Over the last 40 years, we have increased our assets from $164,000 to over $15,000,000 and have provided nearly $40,000,000 in grants and scholarships for our community. Thank you for being part of our journey! Sitting Left to Right: Daisy Wilson, Bernard H. Jones, Sr., and Lennie Henry. Standing Left to Right: Dale Perdue, Edward Guy, Jr., Howard Russell, Sr., and Robert Pipkin. #POISEFoundation #BlackPhilanthropy #CommunityFoundation (fb)
