Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens as a non-profit organization has taken a common city park and over the years transformed it into a noteworthy park of native and cultivated woodland plants, elevating it to the status of a “Botanical Gardens“. OUR MISSION IS TO ENHANCE THE NATURAL SETTING OF THE DUNSMUIR CITY PARK FOR THE ENJOYMENT AND HORTICULTURAL EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF NATIVE AND WOODLAND PLANTS.

Playground area and picnic sites border the beautiful Upper Sacramento River. The location is just uphill of the baseball park where Babe Ruth once played and the Alexander Dunsmuir Fountain. Turn in at the Locomotive engine next to the Community Building located at 4835 Dunsmuir Avenue.
