Turkic American Associations Mid-Atlantic Federation of Turkic American Associations (MAFTAA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established to build a bridge of cultural understanding between the United States and Turkic-Americans, while working with about thirty-five member organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region.MAFTAA uses a variety of methods to build bridges between people in many different aspects of life. By using methods such as, hosting public programs and private events featuring leaders and experts with diverse views on a wide range of global and regional topics through task forces, executive forums, luncheons, conferences, studies, and leadership dialogues.MAFTAA is a leading, independent (umbrella) organization committed to expanding interaction among American and Turkic-American people by promoting and encouraging the progressive friendship bonds. MAFTAA and its affiliate organizations share common values about interaction with other people regardless of their religion, ethnic origin and/or other preferences.MAFTAA is a Turkic-American federation which houses not only Turkish, but also Turkic sister organizations in six states and the District of Columbia. The organizations share the similar values and help each other carry out events with mutual relations. MAFTAA, ensures that organizations are cooperative and collaborative with one another.
