History

Best Day Foundation was founded in March 2008 in Santa Cruz, California, by Brooks Lambert and Max Montgomery. The foundation grew from its initial chapter in New Jersey to include chapters in California, Florida, and Virginia. Following the passing of Brooks Lambert in 2021, the foundation shifted its organizational structure but maintained its mission and vision. Currently, Best Day operates on the Virginia and New Jersey coasts.

Best Day Foundation organizes "adventure days" where participants engage in activities tailored to their abilities. These events are designed to be inclusive and supportive, involving a range of water and land activities like tandem surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, stand up paddling, and beach activities.
