This morning, IV Formers studying Modern World History engaged in a historical discourse to determine which country was most responsible for starting World War I. Our annual "WWI All-Star Trials" brings student delegates to the Ball Auditorium stage to represent Serbia, Austria-Hungary, Germany, Russia, France, and Great Britain. Congratulations to Adam Brown, Anantvir Othie, and Grant Kim for earning first place for their well-researched representation of Serbia! (fb)

After our third grade concluded their own Ancient Egypt Museum and Fair, they adventured to New York City and explored The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian Art collection. During their tours through the museum's 38 galleries of Egyptian art, their enthusiastic docents repeatedly commented on our boys' impressive knowledge of Ancient Egypt. Boys readily offered facts about ancient Egyptian daily life, construction techniques, and embalming processes. Among many highlights during their tour, the boys saw The Temple of Dendur, completed in 10 B.C. and commissioned by the Roman emperor Augustus. (fb)
