This morning, 4th-6th grade students and teachers gathered at the Elementary campus to dedicate a very special space, our new Hammock Garden, in loving memory of Mrs. Shelly Main. Shelly was a devoted follower of Jesus, a beloved ECS teacher, and a cherished friend, mother, and grandmother. Her legacy of faith, joy, and encouragement continues to inspire our school family. We can’t imagine a more fitting tribute than this peaceful garden — a place where she would have loved to relax with a good book and enjoy God’s creation. A plaque featuring Micah 6:8 now stands in her honor: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” We’re grateful to ECS Facilities Coordinator Nathan Kelle and ECS parent Clay Alloway and his company, SRT, for bringing this vision to life. Your work has created a beautiful space for students to learn, reflect, and rest — just as Shelly would have wanted.
