Omega School - Literacy Network—Learning for Life

Literacy Network helps Dane County adults achieve financial security, well-being and deeper engagement with their families and the community. Mission: Literacy Network helps adults in Dane County build skills, reach goals, and connect communities. The Omega School mission is to provide adult basic education and GED preparation services to adults in Dane County. Omega School Inc. has been providing GED/HSED preparation services and basic skills instruction in Dane County since 1972. Currently Omega School provides three educational programs for adults. 1) GED/HSED Program (GED/HSED Preparation/ adult basic skills instruction program). This program generally serves over 250 students a year and 40% of the students begin the GED testing process by completing at least 1 official GED Examination and 35% of the students enrolled during the year earn a GED/HSED credential. 2) Spanish GED Program (GED instruction covering the same material as the GED, but offered in Spanish). This program generally serves over 15 students a year.
