Today, March 21st, is World Down Syndrome Day – celebrating all the wonderful gifts that people with Down Syndrome share with our community. This global day of awareness being the 21st day of the 3rd month was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. 💙💛 We, at Choices for Community Living, join others across the world to celebrate and advocate for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down Syndrome.

April is #WorldAutismMonth, and today is #WorldAutismAwarenessDay. 🌎🧩💙 Choices for Community Living joins in the recognition of today as we come together across the globe to raise awareness about issues surrounding people with autism and to provide opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism. It is also a celebration of the unique talents of those with autism, while putting a focus on the warm embrace and welcome that these skills deserve in our local area, across the state and nation, and around the globe not only today, but EVERY day.
