South Salem Fire Department - Westchester County, New York At 348pm SSFD along with Lewisboro VAC and a WEMS Medic were dispatched to State Route 35 in the area of Route 121 in Cross River for a multi vehicle MVA involving a bus. On scene a bus transporting eight disabled adults was found to have struck a tree head on after first colliding with another vehicle. Route 35 was shut down for a short period of time while multiple agencies worked to extricate and transport the patients from the bus. Three other persons involved declined medical assistance.

The Members of the South Salem Fire Department proudly marched in yesterday’s Town of Lewisboro Memorial Day parade and attended the services to honor those lost, but not forgotten. Thank you to all participants especially the Lewisboro Veterans Advisory Committee for organizing this year’s tribute.
