Queenie (a 7-year-old soon-to-be-former breeder mom) had her Rescue Ride from the breeder today; although she didn’t come from a farm, she certainly smelled like she did! She is a very sweet and friendly girl. She rode beautifully in our SUV from Manheim to Harrisburg where we met Lesley S., who will be fostering her. Many thanks to Deb H. for evaluating her, Valerie and Mark for helping to transport her, and Lesley S. for opening her home and her heart to foster Queenie. Welcome to the good life, Queenie! Rescue Ride - Please welcome Gracie, who was just sprung off the farm today. Gracie is a 7-year-old purebred English lab. She is a full-figured girl for sure! When Deb H. walked back to the kennel to meet her, imagine her surprise when Gracie walked out of the breeder’s house. She was so excited to be with the kids and was wonderful with all the little ones. Deb walked Gracie to the car, and she immediately hopped in. She was ready for her next adventure. Deb traveled 2 hrs. to meet up with her fosters, Kim and Jeff. She will be in great hands with them, and they will get her back in shape! Welcome to the good life, Gracie! Farm to Family Campaign Our goal for our Farm to Family Campaign is to rescue as many Labrador Retrievers as we can from breeding farms and place them into loving homes. Over the course of the campaign Brookline will be sharing success stories of our farm dog rescues. Click to learn more about their stories and how you can help to support our campaign through a onetime or recurring donation of as little as 10 a month Brookline was started in 1997 with a single volunteer saving a single Lab. We now have about 100 volunteers and we place an average of 100 Labs each year in their forever homes.
