Worlds Poultry Science Association
To promote the advancement of knowledge of all aspects of poultry science and the poultry industry, disseminate knowledge pertaining to all branches of the poultry industry and facilitate the exchange of such knowledge among people throughout the world having an interest in the industry, encourage the promotion of World Poultry Congresses and Regional Poultry Conferences, co-operate with other international organizations in achieving these aims.

Its major role is to encourage and help facilitate liaison among research scientists and educators and between those in research and education and those working in the many diverse sectors of the industry. As a nonprofit making organization it relies for its income almost entirely on membership subscriptions although a number of poultry companies around the world provide generous sponsorship to help meet some of the production costs of the Worlds Poultry Science Journal.
